Hamptons at The Bay is situated right on the foreshore of beautiful Deception Bay.
Unlike it’s sister suburbs along the coastline of Moreton Bay, Deception Bay’s foreshore is an explorer’s dream. The Bay, as it is affectionately called by the locals, is very well protected from swells and does not get very deep close to the shoreline. This makes it a wonderful place for swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, and many other water sports, without the dangers of surf and riptides.
Then at low tide a whole new world awaits as the tidal flats reveal themselves and the plethora of sea life that are exposed when the tide goes out. Walking the tidal sand flats is a source of amusement and wonder every day.
A fully paved walking path & board walk also winds along the foreshore of Deception Bay for 3.6km round trip, taking you from the historical sea baths and indigenous carvings to the north, passed the dog beach and the cafes down to the indigenous Place of Plenty in the south.
Then along the top of he foreshore is another walking path that meanders under the old gum trees and fig trees, passed some of the most amazing locations for a pickup or BBQ that you will find in the Moreton bay region. (picnic tables & BBQs have been erected by Moreton Bay Regional Council for public use).
